How It All Began
Founders’ Story
Scott Hunter bought his first Mill Street property in 1984 while studying at Ohio University. Three years later, Brad Jageman purchased his first rental. By the 1990s, their shared vision brought them together—and AthensOhioRentals.com was born.

Today, Scott and Brad bring more than 63 years of combined landlord and real estate experience.
- Brad served 17 years as a licensed real estate agent.
- Scott owned and operated Hunter Hardware for a decade and served eight years on Athens City Council.
Both are lifelong Athenians who first met coaching youth soccer and later the Athens High School varsity team.
